As part of the event, our members presented Kyudo demonstrations at 1:00 PM and 5:30 PM, introducing visitors to the traditional Japanese art of archery and giving them an opportunity to experience Kyudo in person.

During the demonstrations, our members introduced Shaho Hassetsu, the eight stages of Kyudo shooting. Each movement reflects the importance of balance, concentration, etiquette, and control, showing that Kyudo is about much more than simply hitting a target.

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity for some visitors to experience shooting with a Gomuyumi, a practice bow made from elastic material. This allowed participants to try the basic movements of Kyudo in a safe and approachable way.

The response was wonderful. Many visitors were interested in trying Gomuyumi and learning more about Kyudo, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the activity. It was especially rewarding for us to see people experiencing the movements of Kyudo for the first time and discovering the discipline and concentration involved in the practice.

We were also happy to meet and speak with many visitors who were curious about Kyudo, including questions about training, equipment, Japanese Kyudo culture, and the philosophy behind the art.

For Thailand Kyudo Kai, participating in NIPPON HAKU was a valuable opportunity to share Kyudo with a wider audience and introduce more people to “The Way of the Bow.”
